Websphere Architect
CWF Solutions is looking for a Websphere Architect for a local client in the Twin Cities area. This is an ongoing project in 3 month contract intervals. Our client is looking for a seasoned consultant that posses strong technical skills as well as strong communication skills. The responsibilities are as follows:
• Design and architect N-tier application hosting infrastructure for J2EE applications
• Primary subject matter expert on web and middleware technologies
• Installation and configuration of web and application servers
• Provide level 3 and 24/7 on-call support
• Develop support documentation and best practices guidelines
• Provide consulting services to development teams for integrating into the hosting environment
• Participate in load/stress test activities of J2EE applications
• Develop guidelines and metrics for monitoring middleware infrastructure used track system performance, availability and SLA compliance
• Research and evaluate new technologies, products, and services, and make recommendations on acquisitions and modifications as they relate to applications servers and web servers
• Coordinate the activities of cross functional teams to ensure delivery of quality services at all times
Experience/Qualifications:
Required
• 4+ years systems engineering experience with at least three of the following web and middleware technologies: (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, Weblogic, Websphere, Websphere MQ)
• 2 + years experience configuring web/middleware monitoring services (Netcool, Keynote, Tivoli, MOM, Introscope, Qpasa!)
• 4+ years experience in SSL Certificate Management and implementation (Verisign, Thawte, Microsoft Certificate Server)
• 4+ years system administration experience with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX)
• 2+ years experience in J2EE application development support
Desired
• Websphere or JBOSS certification
• 1+ years experience in Java development
• 2 + years experience in administering Mercury Testing Toolset (Loadrunner, Winrunner, TestDirector)
