Staff Programmer Analyst - IRM/Search
Job Description:
Work with Program Management and Development team to develop innovative technical solutions, provide input to project roadmaps, provide estimates for technical components and technical consulting as required.
Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to team for technical strategies/approaches. Collaborate with users, QA and Management to ensure that enhancements and application defects are managed effectively.
Communicate status of development activities as required. Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision or direction. Work with other individuals within the IT community to identify best practices and standards and work with technical leadership and management to promote them to the internal development team. UML Design experience using tools like Rational desirable. Expertise with Java Development IDEs (eclipse, RAD etc.) required. Knowledge of and/or experience with any PLM tools like Agile and Content Management software development methodologies a huge plus.
Ability to collaborate with staff to build proof-of-concepts and/or working UI mock-ups to facilitate requirements gathering and to demonstrate a product vision to the client. Five plus years prior experience in technical leadership role supporting large enterprise applications required. Must be able to multi-task and work on a large number of complex designs at one time to support all of the on-going initiatives.
Must have demonstrated success in managing technical requirements for multiple large scale projects. Strong technical, leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills a must. Demonstrated success in developing software for larger multi-disciplined groups required. Demonstrated communication/collaboration skills required. Solid problem solving capability a must. Must be able to evaluate and speak to strengths and weaknesses of various technology solutions. Solid understanding of software development methodologies and best practices required including experience with several SCM tools (Subversion, PVCS, Clearcase, CVS, Perforce) and build tools such as ANT or Maven and CruiseControl. Prior experience in professional services or consulting organization desirable.
Familiar with standard JEE MVC and JSF framework. JEE development experience on any standard application server like WebSphere or Oracle 10g. Must have practical large-scale project experience with UML for completing complex design and be able to spearhead the design from business use-cases through design model. Experience must include Multi-tier application architecture and design including OOAD, SOA, relational databases, web services, MQ Series, workflow, LDAP, and security integration. Knowledge of and/or experience with web services Standards (SOAP, XML, WSDL, UDDI) desirable.
Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required.
Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
