Requirements:
Major responsibilities include:
o Day to day responsibilities include writing functional specs, development, writing and debugging of code.
"Work with the team to develop the client software including addition of new features communication protocols, etc.
"Write, maintain, and execute unit tests for client software.
"Keep abreast of current and forthcoming handset technology from all major handset manufacturers and wireless operators.
Work experience and requirements:
o Extensive experience developing software in JAVA (J2ME)for handheld devices.
o Experience developing/deploying client/server applications over wireless networks (e.g. Sprint, ATT, Verizon, etc).
o Work in multi-developer or extreme programming environments.
"Work through code lifecycle process from design to deployment to redesign.
Technical Skills:
o Demonstrable problem solving skills-ability to solve complex problems in the face of time pressure and information/resource constraints.
o Familiarity with current wireless handset/ PDA availability, capabilities, and limitations.
o Familiarity with current wireless network availability, capabilities, and limitations.
o Familiarity with HTTP TCP/IP network configuration and operations
o Client/server and network programming.
o Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced, startup environment.
