Telecom Media & Entertainment (TME) is a global industry practice of Capgemini with over 3,500 industry professionals focusing on the consulting and systems integration needs of communications and media players worldwide. This includes many of the leading US studios, television players and home entertainment groups as well as working with leading retailers and broadband providers in digital media distribution.
As part of the Capgemini Telecommunications, Media and Entertainment (TME) Group, the J2EE/Java Designer/Developer works closely with the technical aspects of consulting engagements and develops the software portion of technical solutions including; object-oriented design and development (OOAD), application server design, component development, package integration, custom e-commerce solutions. While often technical in scope, consultants also work closely with clients and must demonstrate individual technical and professional knowledge to ensure that the work products and deliverables are of the highest caliber to ensure client satisfaction. Also applies project management expertise, identifies, develops, and implements techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and optimize cost savings and efficiencies for clients.
Strong track record of professional success is necessary, preferably in the Consulting Services arena.
Capacity for understanding requirements and use cases, proposing technical solutions, and selecting tools is critical.
Candidates must have hands on experience in using object oriented analysis/design tools like Rational rose – demonstrated in one of the previous assignments.
Experience with MDA tools is desirable.
Candidates must be technically strong with hands on experience in one of the following application development platforms:
JAVA/J2EE tools and technologies (EJB, JSP, Struts, JDO etc)
Middleware technologies and tools (WLI, MQ Series etc)
Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are needed.
Time management skills are a must, as well as the ability to be flexible and creative. Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements.
Must be willing to travel extensively, up to 100%.
Bachelor's College degree in a computer-related area of study, with advanced degree highly preferred.
