Product Developer
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Required:
• Knowledge of computer software programming, design, implementation, and software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
• Skilled in research, project planning, and implementation
• Excellent written and verbal skills including demonstrated skills in authoring specifications, documentation, design, and testing related documents
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Good working knowledge of Windows operating system and office products
• Hands-on extensive knowledge of Java programming, J2EE, Web Services, XML, EJB
• Knowledge of a critical subset of these technologies: JSP, Struts, JMS, JDBC, Swing, Webstart, HTML
• Knowledge of one or more these database technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2
• Hands-on use of SQL
• Knowledge on the use of 3 or more of these computing platforms: UNIX, Linux, Windows, AS/400 and MVS
• MVS developers will know some critical subset of the following: JCL, COBOL, Assembler, TSO/ISPF, DB2, MQ, and REXX
• Basic level (or better) understanding of other varied computing concepts including: Networking, Installation Tools, version control and source code repository systems, enhancement request and bug tracking tools, user interface design conventions,
• May also have C/C++ programming skills with knowledge of OS-specific low level programming knowledge
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related.
• Typically has 3 to 6 years experience
• Must have hands-on and full life cycle software development experience
