Exciting opportunity to lead the development of an enterprise portal implementation at a federal agency recently voted one of the best places to work. Position is full time/permanent and blocks from the metro. Lots of opportunity for growth and to lead a quickly growing team. Job requirements include:
• Minimum:
o Strong knowledge of Java 1.4 and greater, J2EE and JEE5
o Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in a JSR 168-Compliant portal
o Strong knowledge of MVC frameworks Struts and/or Java Server Faces
o Strong knowledge of JSR-168 Portlet Specification
o Played various roles in Java, J2EE projects
o Experience with leading Application servers like Weblogic, JBoss and databases such as Oracle, SQL Server MySQL,
o 7 years of IT experience as a designer, developer, Architect
o 5 Yrs of Bea Weblogic Portal 7.x/8.x and Workshop.
o 5 Yrs of hands on experience on Java, J2ee/EJB, JSP/ Servlets.
o Should have experience in using different IDE’s such as Visual Café, Jbuilder and JDeveloper etc.
o Implementation of Rational Unified Process (RUP) and using UML tools to architect the system.
o Good understanding and implementation of search engine such as Autonomy, Google etc.
o Thorough understanding of clustered environment.
o Solid understanding of Java, Object Oriented technology, XML, J2EE and Web Services.
• Desired:
o Knowledge and experience in BEA Weblogic 9 Portal Server
o Experience in architecting, designing, and implementing Java/J2EE based applications
o Experience in WSRP
o Knowledge of SQL
• Other:
o Architects a solution to meet client's requirements by using best practice models
o Analyzes the costs and benefits of the proposed solutions to meet the client's requirements
o Reviews the proposed solution to ensure flexibility of design so that it may accommodate new technologies when business requirements change
• Desired Technologies:
o UML, EJB, JMS, Web Services, SOAP, XML, JSP, Servlet and JDBC, Portal, Integration servers and Java open source technologies, JSF, MyFaces, Struts, Tiles, Beehive, JRF, Ajax, NextGen 4.1, Hibernate and JSTL frameworks, HTML, DHTML, XML, XSL, CSS, Java Script
