senior professional who can take the lead architect role on Weblogic portal projects for a growing practice in enterprise portal solutions. The initial client project is likely to be in the Washington, DC metro area, but subsequent projects could be anywhere on the East Coast.
This position can work from any Ironworks office (Washington, DC, Cary, NC, or Richmond, VA). Travel is required for some clients and varies depending on the project.
Our preference is to hire for full time, permanent employment, but we will consider contractors for the current project.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Proven implementation and configuration experience for WebLogic Portal, prefer versions 8.1 and 9.2
• In depth understanding of the Portal construct including the distributed architectural design principles inherent in the Portal environment (Content Server, Collaboration Server, Studio Server, etc)
• Experience in front-end and back end technologies (i.e. JSP and user interface coding all the way through service and data access tiers that interact with back-end databases)
• Experience with java open source tools, such as: Maven, Ant, Hibernate, Spring, Xfire, Displaytag, Junit
• Full life-cycle software development experience, with a preference for experience working in agile development process, with unit and automated testing (for instance Agitar, Junit, etc.)
• Experience integrating with third-party software products and custom solutions a plus
• Significant interface modification experience a plus
• Thorough understanding of web services principles (portlets, search, crawling)
• Administration/Taxonomy development experience
• General knowledge of Content Management solutions
• J2EE development skills
• Full life-cycle software development experience
